Our Main House is over 2,500 square feet with a large entertaining veranda. 5 bedrooms and two full baths, sleeps 10 and has plenty of room. Perfect for family vacations or group vacations with the convenience of adventure activities located on the property. The Main House is tucked away from the on-site adventure activities to afford privacy and tranquility after a busy day exploring our park and other local sights surrounding Lake Arenal. Less than 10 minutes from the town of Nuevo Arenal with great restaurants and shopping.

Blue Butterfly Cottage

The Blue Butterfly Cottage overlooks the lower orchard and gardens of the property and is nestled in a quiet corner offering privacy and tranquility. The upstairs loft has a full size bed and the living area has a pull out queen sofa bed. The cottage will sleep up to 4 persons but ideal for 2. With a full kitchen, full bath, living area and front veranda, the Blue Butterfly Cottage is a perfect getaway.

Pura Vida!
This was the highlight of our trip! Amazing host and absolutely incredible propriety. Plenty of space for everyone. We all thoroughly enjoyed the property with all its spectacular views, birds, flowers, and animals. We walked everyday, plus we took advantage of many of the guided activities: zip lining, night hike, horseback riding, bird watching. The house was completely private, with a large back porch for relaxing and enjoying meals together. We would have loved to have stayed much longer!

Beautiful
Absolutely wonderful. The private estate was full of jungle and wildlife, although humid the July temperatures were low 80’s during the day and mid 60’s at night, and our host Bret was awesome.

Family vacay

Extended family stay
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. There was plenty room for everyone with three different sitting room areas and a very large outside covered area. One thing we really loved was that we could walk around on our own on their wildlife paths. The gardeners were really fun and showed us the best paths to use. We also did the zip lining which was great.

Paradise
The property is gorgeous. We stayed in the Casita and it was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The staff was friendly and helpful. From the patio we could observe various plants and animals. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it.

Great Stay!
We stayed at CRParaiso over Christmas. It is perfectly remote! We wandered the grounds, splashed in the pond, and zip lined. It is a quick trip into town where the food was wonderful. Waking up in the clouds every morning was a joy!

Petit paradis
Nous avions littéralement la propriété pour nous seuls. Grande maison et grandes espaces avec terrasse couverte à l’arrière et la nature comme décor. Réveille-matin par les singes hurleurs ou les toucans, des fois les 2 en même temps. Les lits bien confortables et deux salles de bain bien pratiques pour accommoder parents et ados. Le propriétaire est super gentil de même que ses employés qui prennent soin du domaine et des chevaux. Car le domaine offre plusieurs activités notamment de l’équitation et des tyroliennes. En aucun temps, nous avons eu l’impression d’être envahis par des étrangers car le coin de la maison est à l’écart de tout cela. À 15 minutes du village où se ravitailler en nourriture ou pour sortir casser la croûte. Entre autres, la boulangerie allemande qui vaut un ou plusieurs arrêts pour du pain frais et des gateries sucrées. Lorsque nous sommes partis après 2 semaines, nous avions un pincement au cœur, ce qui pour nous signifie qu’on y était comme chez-nous.

Comfortable house in a spectacular environment
The house is very cosy with a well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and a decent bathroom with shower. The surroundings are magnificent with beautiful spots around every corner on the numerous paths that go all over the well maintained property with forest, rivers, ponds, gardens and orchards. I enjoyed the swimming pond with crystal clear water at a perfect temperature. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. Sitting on the patio and looking at the hummingbirds, toucans and lots of other birds and animals (I saw an anteater walking by) with no other sounds to be heard than nature really made me feel like being in paradise.

A really great location for relaxation, and jumping off point for adventure.
We stayed at the main house, which is very well furnished, comfortable, and had plenty of room for our group of eight. The house and outside covered patio is a great place to relax and enjoy, and the property provides loads of roads and trails to explore, with many clear vantage points to see the surrounding area, the lake, sunsets and wildlife. Some of the younger folks in the group made some sunrise hikes and saw toucans and other wildlife. The location is also a great jumping off point for adventure. We all went zip lining, hot springing and hiking in the Arenal National Park. One surprise was the fantastic pizza a Moya's in Nuevo Arenal. Our stay was great fun. This is a real gem of a property.....March 2016

A refuge in the jungle, off the beaten track
We had a great time at this home for a short stay while we were visiting various places in Costa Rica. It is up a dirt road from the town of Nuevo Arenal, a funky little outpost on the shorts of the Lake with all the various necessities. From there you can get to all the activities on the north side of the lake, and around to Volcan Arenal. We were met by the caretaker, who was very polite and helpful, and got us situated with the house. He even helped us find a dentist on short notice and get an appointment in town the next day, when our son developed an abscess. The TVs are nice and the internet worked great. The house is on a large lot with no visible neighbors, and a view of the lake and the mountains. It has all the necessities for cooking, plenty of space for a group, and is surrounded by beautiful plants and animals. You really feel like you have the jungle to yourself. Ah, Pura Vida!..... Absolutely Magical Place
CRParaiso is an absolutely magical place. Sitting on 66 lush acres, this very private hideaway will embrace and captivate your sense of wonder for all Costa Rica has to offer. The house has all of the comforts of home despite its somewhat remote location (even by Costa Rican standards). During the day, explore the beautifully landscaped grounds or take a dip in the one acre private pond which is naturally refreshed by a clear running stream. Or take a short 30 minute drive to the town of La Fortuna at the base of Arenal volcano for innumerable outdoor adventure opportunities. My three friends and I stayed at CRParaiso for 4 days and I wish we could have stayed another 4! The house was immaculate and Brett was a great host and a fountain of information. I highly, highly recommend CRParaiso to anyone visiting the Arenal area, it is a true gem in the wilderness....December 2015
